PRACTICE EMPHASIS & EXPERIENCE

Since 1996, Susan has been a dedicated and aggressive advocate for her clients in the Seattle area as well as throughout the world. She diligently strives to protect and pursue her clients’ interests to the fullest extent under the law. She understands the importance of communication, and she maintains open and ongoing communication with her clients throughout the entire process.

Susan focuses her practice on family law litigation in highly contested divorces with issues on custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, domestic violence and restraining orders, and division of assets and debts. In addition to divorce cases, Susan also handles other family law cases including modifications of parenting plan and child support, paternity, adoption, relocation, and pre/post-nuptial agreements.

Besides family law, Susan’s practice also includes business law cases including business formations, purchase and sale transactions, leases, and other commercial contracts. In addition, Susan handles various immigration matters including family-based petitions, employment visas, citizenship, and consular processing.

As an immigrant herself, Susan has been a Volunteer Attorney at the International District Legal Clinic with the King County Bar Association Neighborhood Legal Clinic Program since 1999 to help other immigrants with their legal issues. Due to her dedication, Susan received the 1999 Service of Justice Award from the Asian Bar Association of Washington.

PERSONAL

Susan was born in Vietnam, and she was one of the “boat people” refugee who traveled to Hong Kong before immigrating to the United States. Because Susan speaks Vietnamese as well as the Cantonese and Mandarin dialects of Chinese, she has the extra ability to help other immigrants speaking these languages with their legal issues.
